Stavanger (17.04.18). Wellesley Petroleum AS (“Wellesley”) notes the NPD announcement of the results of wells 34/2-5S in Production Licence PL790 (see link below). The well was dry. Wellesley participates in PL790 with a 25% working interest.
Stavanger (03.04.18). Wellesley Petroleum AS (“Wellesley”) notes the NPD announcement of the results of wells 35/9-13, 35/9-14 and 35/9-14A in Production Licence PL682 (see link below). Wellesley participates in PL682 with a 20% working interest.
Stavanger 26th January 2018: Wellesley Petroleum AS (“Wellesley” or “The Company”) announces an agreement with Transocean for a three-firm slot contract with the Transocean Arctic semi-sub rig. The commencement date for the contract is 1st June 2018. The rig will be employed on an exploration drilling campaign in the Måløy Slope area of the Northern North Sea (blocks 35/11 & 12). The Transocean Arctic will be employed to drill two exploration wells in the Wellesley-operated PL925 licence. Plans are also being made to drill a further exploration well to test an extension of the currently stranded Grosbeak Discovery.
Stavanger 16th January 2018: Wellesley Petroleum AS (“Wellesley” or “The Company”) notes the Press Release issued today by the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy (MPE) announcing offers for Production Licences applied for in the APA 2017 licensing round. Wellesley has been offered to participate in seven licences, including three firm well commitments. Wellesley will operate two of these licences. Two of the firm well commitments are in the Wellesley operated PL925 licence.
